This isn't a role for someone who uses Webflow as a page builder. I need someone who thinks like a front-end developer โ someone who reaches for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when Webflow's native tools hit their ceiling, understands CMS architecture at a schema level, and can work independently without hand-holding.
โ
โ Project-based subcontracting work, as engagements come in
โ Development-only briefs โ designs come from Figma, you build them
โ Async-first workflow (I use Slack, Loom, and Notion)
โ Occasional direct client-facing communication when needed
โ Realistic scopes, clear handoff specs, and no scope-creep surprises
โ
โ 3+ years working in Webflow โ not as a side skill
โ Solid front-end foundation: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (vanilla or light frameworks)
โ Complex CMS experience: multi-collection references, conditional visibility, dynamic filtering
โ Third-party integration experience: Memberstack, Zapier, Make, Outseta, Finsweet, etc.
โ Familiarity with structured Webflow frameworks โ MAST, Client-First, or Lumos (you don't need to live in one, but you need to understand why they exist)
โ Component-driven thinking โ symbols, classes, and structure you'd be proud to hand off
โ Figma-to-Webflow accuracy, without pixel-pushing back and forth
โ You communicate blockers early. You don't go quiet.
โ
โ Experience with GSAP or custom Webflow interactions/animations
โ SEO fundamentals (schema, meta, page speed awareness)
โ Shopify or headless CMS exposure
โ Webflow Certification
